Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how GainIQ LLC("GainIQ," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website at www.gainiq.ai or use the GainIQ application (together, the "Service"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, both of which it is incorporated into by reference. In some cases, cookies may collect personal information, or information that becomes personal information when combined with other data — where that occurs, our Privacy Policy governs how that data is handled.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (GainIQ) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality on or through the Service (e.g., analytics, payment processing, embedded content). Parties that set third-party cookies can recognize your device both when it visits our Service and when it visits certain other websites.
Why do we use cookies?
We use first-party and (where applicable) third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons for the Service to operate — we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies enable us to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. This is described in more detail below.
GainIQ does not currently use cookies for third-party advertising or ad retargeting. If this changes, this Cookie Policy will be updated in advance and, where required by law, we will obtain your consent before any such cookies are set.
How can I control cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Where you are located in a jurisdiction that requires opt-in consent (e.g., the EU/UK), non-essential cookies are not set until you provide consent through the cookie banner presented on your first visit. You can change your preferences at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer. Essential cookies cannot be rejected, as they are strictly necessary to provide the Service (for example, keeping you signed in).
You may also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies; see browser-specific instructions below. If you reject non-essential cookies, you can still use the Service, though some functionality may be limited.
Cookies used on this Service
| Category | Name / Purpose | Provider | Type | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Authentication session cookie — keeps you signed in and secures your session | GainIQ (via NextAuth.js) | HTTP cookie | Session / [confirm] |
| Essential | Supabase auth token — maintains authenticated access to your account data | GainIQ (via Supabase) | HTTP cookie / local storage | [confirm] |
| Essential | Billing session — used during checkout and subscription management | Stripe | HTTP cookie | [confirm — verify once billing ships] |
Your privacy choices (California residents)
GainIQ does not sell or share personal information (as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA) collected through cookies, and does not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because no such activity occurs, no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out link is required at this time; if that changes, this section and the required opt-out mechanism will be added before any such practice begins.
GainIQ honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out preference signal for any future use of cookies that would otherwise require an opt-out under CCPA/CPRA. If you have questions about your California privacy rights, see our Privacy Policy or contact us at the address below.
How can I control cookies on my browser?
The means by which you can refuse cookies through your browser vary by browser. Visit your browser's help menu for details, or use the links below:
Other tracking technologies
Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors. We may use similar technologies from time to time, such as web beacons or pixels, to understand traffic patterns and measure the performance of the Service. Where such technologies rely on cookies to function, declining cookies will impair their operation.
How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit this page periodically. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
